To meet the offshore ship industry’s needs, we now stock DNV-GL approved, marine grade Profinet B Industrial Bus cable. Profinet B is a communication protocol designed to exchange data between controllers and devices in an automation setting.
Manufactured using low smoke halogen free sheath compounds in accordance with IEC 60092-360, this cable provides increased levels of fire safety and are flame retardant to IEC 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-3-22 Cat A. This cable has 2 pairs laid up as a quad with stranded tinned copper conductors, an overall aluminium foil screen with a tinned copper wire braid and a green SHF1 outer jacket. This flexible cable is UV resistant and also provides levels of resistance to oils, fuels and hydrocarbons.
SHF1 sheath: Halogen free compound provides minimal smoke in the event of a fire. Flame retardant to IEC 60332-1-2. Cable in accordance NEK 606.
